Aprilia
Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer owned by Piaggio. Although Aprilia is best known for its sportbikes ability to win races, it actually started out as a scooter manufacturer. Cavaliere Alberto Beggio founded Aprilia as a bike production facility in Noale, Italy after the Second World War. In 1968 the company was taken over by Alberto’s son, Ivano Beggio, who constructed a 50cc motorcycle. After that larger versions were made like the 125 and 250cc which won motocross champions ships in 1977.
