Vintage Benelli Engine & Transmission Restoration & Rebuilding

Benelli on 4 Italian championship races within 5 years using a single overhead camshaft SOHC motor followed by a double overhead camshaft DOHC motor earning its respect amongst racers in 1927, 1928, 1930, and 1931. When rebuilding the motor on a vintage bike it should be disassembled and parts should be cleaned. Parts of the engine that will be inspected are: engine case covers, clutch, cylinder head, top end bearings, clutch basket, intake valves, pistons, piston rings, valve seals, valve shims, valve covers, valve springs, camshafts, camshaft bushings, clutch push rods, timing belt cover, drain bolt, oil filter, push rods, crankshaft, gaskets, oil filler caps, exhaust valves, cam chain, valve guides, circlips, clutch cable, timing belt, cam chain tensioner, clutch top cover, wrist pen clips, clutch springs, and much more in order to rebuild the engine. The transmission parts that will be cleaned and inspected by our mechanics for wear or damage are: mainshaft nut, transmission pulley nut, mainshaft drive gears, gears, clutch, gearbox, kick starter, gear shifter, counter balancers, transmission case covers and much more to rebuild the transmission on a vintage motorcycle.

Vintage Benelli Electrical Restoration

While the bike is disassembled the technician will go through the whole electrical system rewiring and soldering any parts that need this process. Parts that will be inspected for wear or damage are: rectifier, alternator / generator, rear brake light switches, tachometer, stator gasket, ignition coils, stator, brush plate, speedometer, start/stop switch, front brake light switch, batter, tail lights, headlights, spark plugs, starter, solenoid, horn, kill switch, wire harness, ignition switch, turn signals, headlight switch, starter drive, ignition points and much more to recondition the electrical system on a vintage bike.
